Dreaming of the Beach

I’m sitting here on this snowy, cold, gloomy day dreaming of the time when I can be sitting on the beach. Listening to the waves hit the shore, the sound of the seabirds, and the warmth of the sun.
The beach does that to me. It slows everything down. No schedules. No noise that matters. Just sky, sand, and water doing what they’ve always done, long before we showed up with coolers and umbrellas.
Some days the beach is quiet and empty — a single chair, a wide horizon, and nothing demanding my attention
.

Other days it’s loud and chaotic, filled with people, kids splashing, laughter, and that unmistakable summer energy. I love both. They’re different moods of the same place.

There’s something comforting about how the beach never really changes, even though every visit feels different. The light shifts. The clouds roll in or clear out. The tide moves closer, then pulls away again. But it’s always there, waiting.

On days like today, when winter feels endless and gray, these are the moments I escape to.
Until then, I’ll keep dreaming. And maybe staring at these photos a little longer than necessary.

I love being by the sea, be it calm or crazy it still gives me a soothing feeling either calm and relaxed or emphasises the power of mother nature, lovely blog post and wonderful images
